The Chamber in Hays, Kansas Child Care Provider Professional Development Series rescheduled to November 16
The Chamber in Hays, Kansas, has announced a date change for the Child Care Provider Quarterly Professional Development Series.
Originally slated for Thursday, October 26 the event will now be held on Thursday, November 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The decision to reschedule the event was made to ensure that as many interested parties as possible have the opportunity to attend.
This change aims to accommodate conflicts with other community events, ensuring that childcare providers from across northwest Kansas can participate.
The Professional Development Series welcomes all area child care providers to join in an enriching evening featuring Kaley Conner, Manager of Education and Outreach from High Plains Mental Health Center, as the esteemed guest speaker.
The focal point of the workshop will be "Stress Management & Self-Care for Providers."
Attendees will gain invaluable insights into stress management, differentiating between typical and destructive stress pathways, recognizing warning signs of unhealthy stress, implementing self-care practices to enhance resilience, and acquiring skills to identify warning signs in the children they serve, as well as effective communication with children's guardians.
Participation in this event will provide attendees with 1.5 hours of credit toward their annual recertification requirements.
